Evento de Encerramento CircularBuild
Following the “CircularBuild Closing Event“, where the results achieved with the development and laboratory validation of the CircularBuild construction solution were presented, under the scope of the tests carried out, which aimed to Study the Durability of the Panel Lining Plate, the Characterisation Tests of the Panel Including its Connections, the Mechanical and Functional Performance tests and the Thermal and Seismic Acoustic Performance tests, we highlight two of the most significant results, such as the seismic behaviour and the energy efficiency of the CircularBuild construction solution.
The seismic behaviour of the CircularBuild solution was checked by monitoring the tests performed on the seismic table of LNEC – National Laboratory of Civil Engineering in Lisbon, on the 2-storey prototype to scale (3×4 modules), through transversal, longitudinal and vertical movements, allowing the simulation of 41 seismic tests and 18 dynamic identification tests, in order to monitor the parameters and detect possible damage. The various seismic simulations performed on the prototype, culminated in a series of records, simulating an earthquake of magnitude 7.5 on the Richter scale at a short distance, with no visual data to declare.
The exemplary behaviour of the seismic simulations performed on the 2-storey prototype, allowed its reuse in the “Pilot Construction”, where monitoring work of the prototype’s thermal behaviour was carried out, in the assessment of the energy efficiency of the CircularBuild building solution, which presented an Class A+ energy performance, with values well below the minimum requirements for a NZEB building, through primary energy needs lower than the standard 20%, achieving a classification of excellence NZEB20.
